Cyberspace Conference

On 29th November 2025, our University of Vienna partner participated in the Cyberspace Conference in Brno. Organised by Masaryk University, the conference welcomes over 300 participants from 4 continents to participate and present on various stream topics. Representing the eBRAIN-Health project, Klaudia Kwiatkowska and Alexandra Mǎrginean highlighted the legal status of synthetic data under the legal acts of the European Data Strategy, more specifically the Data Governance Act, Data Act and European Health Data Space. The presentation focused on the opportunities and challenges represented by synthetic data in medical research. In the context of the eBRAIN-Health project, synthetic data will be used to enrich machine learning and deep learning algorithms which will support early diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases.
